Naruto - 641

Behind behind behind. I can only hopelessly count towards the end of my time abroad as the the reviews I need to catch up on pile with astonishing speed, not to mention arriving late. Well, I apologise for the lack of punctuality, and will proceed straight into reviewing all the latest from Naruto.

I didn't think someone could have such an awful naming convention
Obviously all that time spent apart has no long term consequence whatsoever for Sasuke and Naruto; their understanding of each other is still so great no words can describe the synergy they possess. With teamwork that would turn the Kages green with envy, they pulled severely overpowered combos that would normally annihilate any Un-Rinne Tensei'd Shinobi. Only the foe they're up against is definitely not your ordinary Shinobi... (and may I just add, Unison Raid anybody???)

I know it's practically essential, but this winking really ruins some of the finer moments
Well, to begin with, there is no realistic way Obito can die at the moment. He is literally a God reincarnate; All-Powerful, and untouchable. I'm starting to wonder whether he can be some secret student of Jiraiya's, hence fulfilling the role in the prophecy Naruto was supposed to have. At the rate the series is going, the prospects of the prophecy applying to our titular character slowly diminishes to dust. Seeing as the Kyuubi is still within Naruto, there is hope a spectacularly miraculous turn will transfer the Ten-Tails into him.

The Okama Death Wink
Whilst reading, I realised my one disappointment is that Sasuke isn't flaunting his newly obtained Eternal Magekyo Sharingan abilities as he ought to be doing. A couple of wimpy Amataresu which pale in comparison to Itachi's? Disgraceful! Unimpressive, especially the Susanoo, considering when Madara pulled out his one (and proceeded to wipe out the Kages). And no, awesome teamwork, and complicated combos will not make it up. Exploiting newfound powers is the best way for the typical Shonen, and works in almost every case (take DBZ, newfound power, explored, then thrown away for another newfound power).

To infinity, and beyond! ~ Buzzu Lightyear
Other than that, this chapter was much better than the previous ones. For starters, the interaction between the 2nd and 4th Hokages was comical, in spite of the serious situation at hand.  Even more so, this chapter gave the prelude to what most likely will be the next Valley of the End. Hopefully, Kishimoto won't just skip past this fated encounter like he did with the Kage Curbstomping. Quite confused as to what Madara's objective is. Didn't he just want to beat Hashirama???

At long last, a named Jutsu gone right
Despite how long it has climbed, Naruto has yet to escape it's pits, and is a mere hollow image of the vast promise the pilot chapter presented a dozen years ago. Not too late for Naruto to finish on an explosive note, but the chances are looking incredibly slim. Just hope Naruto won't become the universal Supreme Kage for all the Hidden Villages. His dream of becoming Hokage was quite enough.

Ok, maybe not
