Naruto - 639

THE HOKAGES ATTACK!

As you can clearly tell from the title (also, little irrelevant sidenote here. No, I have not stopped reviewing Fairy Tail, I have just been very busy recently and have not had time for a triple release. I will, however, be reviewing Fairy Tail on Friday. After that, and I apologise greatly for this, I will not be reviewing anything for 3 whole weeks due to going to a terrorist country. Anyway, on with the review), this chapter is primarily based on the Hokages vs Obito. Overall, it's a pretty awesome battle and I can't wait to see it animated. Hopefully the animator don't do what they did in Naruto vs Pain and actually decide to animate it well.

We see even more of the Juubi's incredible power, but there was one moment that got me REALLY confused. I saw Obito produce a black substance from the palms of his hands, which the third states is a mixture of at least 4 nature types, making it more powerful than any Kekke Genkai in existance. What got me confused it that, after seeing this black substance, I instantly thought it was a Bijuudama. I literally cannot distinguish this black thing (let's call it Shebango for now) from the Bijuudama. It's spherical...it's black...it kills stuff...what the hell is the difference?!?!?! Anyway, let's get into this.

So, the 2nd Hokage starts off the chapter with a pitiful attempt to "kill" Juubito.
...why didn't you do that...IN THE FIRST PLACE!?!?!?!?
Basically, this EPIC FIGHTING EDO TENSEI JUTSU YOLOSWAG is just the person summoning a ton of exploding paper bombs to create a continuous explosion. Anyone else getting a sense of deja vu? Yup, Konon did the exact same thing but with six hundred billion tag bombs. She did this in order to kill who she thought was Madara, but was actually Obito. It seems like Obito is a magnet for paper bombs eh? Anyway, this obviously doesn't kill him and he appears in the smoke unscathed.

So, here comes the next pitiful attempt for killing Juubito, and is the first time Juubito displays his Shebango.
If a continuous explosion didn't work...then throwing some shuriken must work!
SPOILER ALERT: This technique didn't kill Juubito.
Anyway, the black thing next to Juubito is the Shebango is an alternative suspiciously getsuga tensho looking shape. Later on we get to see a close-up of the mighty Shebango.
Ewww, there's a hole in his hand...
We get an explanation for the Shebango and that's it's similar to Oonoki's jutsu. It's loads of nature transformations pushed into the shape of a sphere. Thus, this jutsu is very hard to maintain and Juubito can't exactly shoot it 230897420938092380958 times in one second.

After Juubito shoots the Third Hokage in the face, there are a couple filler pages. This pretty much consists of Naruto and Minato talking, Madara having a Hashiramagasm and Minato failing to attack Juubito.

The chapters ends on quite a cliffhanger, as it shows Sasuke's response to saving Naruto from Juubito's attack and Minato trying to save them both. Here's the last page:

Pretty epic ending huh? I'm actually excited for the next chapter, because I want to see how Minato will manage to save these two or if he will only manage to save one.

Overall, I'd give this chapter a solid 7 out of 10. I felt that it had an interesting ending, good fight scenes and a cool new Juubito jutsu. I feel that Kishimoto has seen the error of his ways and decided to write some quality manga chapters.

However, until next time, peace out.
