OH BOY! The best time of the week is already here, and damn is it good. Nekomonogatari Shiro is starting to heat up, as with this episode we see more of the strange tiger apparition from last time. Its intentions so far seem unclear, but it definitely has something to do with the fact that Hanekawa saw it last episode. Oh, and speaking of Hanekawa, that strange chapter-skipping going on? Well, if you haven't guessed already, there's a good reason for that, which is...
She's BACK! Well, its not like I didn't expect this, given who the focus is on this season, but it's nice to see it. There's a pretty interesting face-off between the cat and the tiger, and it definitely looks like there's going to be some kind of fight between them, but there's also something else. Given what the Tiger said to Black Hanekawa, there might be something about the kitty we dont know yet.

The most interesting part of this episode however, was the conversation between Hanekawa and Senjougahara about food. It seems like Senjougahara is just being pedantic at first, but then you start to notice that something seems odd, and Gahara seems to be starting to figure out just how subtly off Hanekawa actually is, the same way Araragi started noticing back in nekomonogatari. I'm really enjoying the friendship between these two, and it seems like Gahara is exactly the kind of friend Hanekawa needs right now. She's offering a level of emotional support that Hanekawa hasn't experienced before, as well as forcing her to look at and reevaluate herself. The comparison between food taste and love taste is a perfect example of that which deals with an issue Hanekawa seems to have of not hating anything, and if you cant hate anything, how can you love anything?
