Monogatari Second Season - 1

Get hype because it's here. Monogatari SS (or Nekomonogatari Shiro) has finally dropped and my god is it glorious. I probably don't need to mention that the monogatari series is close to being my favourite anime of all time, so I apologize in advance that this will be less of a review of the series, and more of a fanboying out over the series. Anyway, let's continue shall we?

GLORIOUS
So Nekomonogatari Shiro looks like its going to be told from Hanekawa's point of view, seeing as our main character for the last season, Arararagi (bit my tongue) has flown off to god knows where. I assume we're going to find out what hes up to in the second half of the series. Quite a bit happens in this episode, but most importantly we see a development of the relationship between Senjougahara and Hanekawa. It certainly seems like they've become a lot closer, especially when Senjougahara shows some unexpected (and somewhat creepy) worry for her friend. Oh, and that cat problem from before? Well, it seems to have been replaced with a huge white tiger demon. Yeah.

Run you idiot
So far it hasn't disappointed, keeping the trademark conversation and stylisation along with stellar animation we've come to expect from studio SHAFT and the Monogatari series. This was the anime I was most looking forward to this season, and I don't think it will let me down. I'm excited to watch this, and if you aren't, then in the words of the great Reggie Fils-Aime, "What's wrong with you?"

Does it not bother anyone else that this guy is missing a finger?
