Fans have been concerned over the latest announcements about a Chuunibyou film, which is to be a recap from Rikka's perspective. However, fears that the film might lead to the cancellation of the promised Season 2 have been assuaged.
The production staff admit that “just making a highlights compilation movie wouldn’t be interesting to viewers” and so have promised to introduce “new elements” centred on Rikka’s perspective on events, possibly making the whole thing interesting.
The movie apparently does not have any bearing on the second season, which should follow afterwards.
